How To Embrace The Aries Full Moon Energies

When the moon is full, its power and energy is at its peak. On the 16th October, there will be an Aries full moon, and Aries is linked to the Emperor in the Tarot.

So what does this card teach you about the Aries energies we are going to experience around this month's full moon?

Here are some ideas how you can embrace the Aries full moon energies:

1. Begin again

Aries is the first sign in the horoscope and the messenger for spring (in the Northern Hemisphere).

Springtime means starting afresh and new growth after having released the old in previous months.

So, the Aries full moon may ask you to move onwards and upwards in your life, finally letting go of negative habits, toxic people etc.

Once you turn your back on what's draining you, you will notice how your energy levels, vitality and inner strength will increase.

2. Be a leader

The Emperor is obviously a leader, and perhaps now is the perfect time for you to take up his role and lead, not only others but your own life, too.

Don't follow others, but create your own rules, boundaries and visions you desire and feel inspired by.

It's a great time to be assertive and get areas of your life back in order you may have neglected or even let go out of control.

3. Take action

Aries and the Emperor are pioneers and adventurers. They love conquering, too, especially things that seem difficult and perhaps overwhelming.

They don't get intimidated, so whatever task or situation you need to resolve and have procrastinated about so far, now is the time to grab the ram by its horns and see it through.

4. Get sporty and creative

Aries is also linked to the Queen of Wands in the Tarot. She reminds you to get more in touch with your creative side, follow your passions and keep active.

If you do any sports at the time around the Aries full moon, you may have more energy and achieve better results.

Beware of too much coffee, alcohol or other stimulants at this time, as their effects can be intensified in a kind of hyperactive way 😉

5. Keep your Ego in check

Well, the Emperor can overstep his mark with arrogance, self-centredness, jealousy and over-control at times. Watch out for these negative traits to creep up on you without otherwise noticing.

Be more mindful about how you react to and deal with people. Make sure you are grounded and stay calm at times when you feel anything but.

Tarot Astrology: Sun in Libra, Full Moon in Aries

Justice (Libra) & The Emperor (Aries), Aquatic Tarot

The full moon in Aries early morning on the 30th September will bring some harmonising energies together with the sun in Libra.

We have already experienced the opposite energy combination back in April this year, when the sun was in Aries and the full moon in Libra, but due to the change, the energies of Libra and Aries influence each other differently.

While we are working on creating balance at work and in our relationships by recognising the needs of others and exercising more tolerance (Justice/Libra), we also need to be aware of our own needs and ambitions (Emperor/Aries).

Whilst we focus on the collective needs and greater good (Justice/Libra), we are challenged by new motivational energies - new ideas, visions and ambitions that help us grow, and this balancing act may create a sense of new beginnings ahead.

The full moon in Aries may help you to

• re-evaluate relationships that may have gone stale or drain you; make some positive changes or perhaps go separate ways
• be more spontaneous and use the momentum to resolve unfinished business. The easy-going energy of Libra/Justice may have led to a passive state of procrastination. Now is a good time to get things done again, especially for yourself.
• explore what is holding you back from achieving your goals, and let go of it, especially people, who don't offer you the support and encouragement you need.
• focus on being a driving force rather than blending in with the collective. Be more confident about your abilities; let go of the fear of making mistakes or not being good enough.
• seek ways to become more independent and self-reliant

Meditate on the Emperor card to invoke the positive energies of the full moon in Aries over the next few days.

Tarot Astrology: Sun in Aries, Full Moon in Libra

I have already examined the Emperor as zodiac card of the month, and as it is associated with Aries, the current ruling sun sign, we may all feel its urge to be more spontaneous and initiate changes or new ventures in our lives.

With Spring and warmer weather on the way, we may even be bold enough to take risks with little regard for possible consequences.

The Full Moon in Libra may stop pioneering Aries in its tracks. Whilst we have the desire to charge forward and fulfil our needs under the Aries influence, Libra (Justice) acts as our conscience and makes us plan ahead.

We may be torn between choices, weighing up our options more carefully before making decisions. This could result in some awkward moments: the Emperor's (Aries) fiery passion reigned in by Justice's (Libra) airy reasoning; emotional drama or frustrated by limitations.

But being aware of the current Aries/Libra influence, we have the chance to strive for harmony. After all, fire and air signs do complement each other. At this time you will fare better, if you think before you speak or make that impulse purchase.

 Libra may well stop you from embarrassment or wasting your money. The Aries/Libra energies may also encourage extrovert people to withdraw, and introvert people to be more outgoing. These energies are all about creating balance.

Look after yourself, but also be considerate of others; this applies to your private as well as working life. Take the lead, be pro-active, but at the same time be fair, objective and composed at times of tension or crisis. The Libra/Aries energies may also help you to resolve relationship issues with your heart and mind.

Tarot Numerology: Five

The number Five in Tarot spells trouble, especially the ones in the Minor Arcana. The number Five is associated with the planet Mars, "God of War", and indicates a challenge of some sort. The Five of Wands depicts a confrontation, the Five of Cups emotional upheaval, the Five of Swords a hollow victory (or a defeat), and the Five of Pentacles financial hardship.

But what about Arcanum number 5, the Hierophant? This character seems benevolent on his throne, advising or preaching to his disciples, but the Hierophant is associated with ethics, morality, education, humanity and conscience, all of which can cause struggle, tension, upset and many heated discussions in addition to narrow-mindedness, intolerance, prejudice and radicalisation. If the Hierophant stands for religion, does the number Five indicate its inherent tendency to create havoc?

However, all is not lost. The number Five is asking for mediation, a middle way, re-instating the equilibrium, which is perfectly represented by Temperance, Arcanum number 14 (1 + 4 = 5). Temperance is a healing card, the angel a religious symbol, which suggests the need for compassion, mercy, forgiveness and moderation in times of strife.

Conflict and tension may also be apparent, when the following card combinations appear:

1. The Magician (1) + The Emperor (4) - two strong characters struggling to combine independence with responsibility

2. The High Priestess (2) + The Empress (3) - the need to combine opposites (night/day, unconscious/conscious, reflection/creativity) in order to create harmony

The Fives may indicate a tough situation, but at the same time they offer an eye-opening experience and eventually resolution and progress ahead.
